The London Zen Centre: Ja An Sah
The Kwan Um School of Zen in London
Practice takes place daily every morning, with longer practice sessions each week on Friday evening and Sunday. Retreats, often with a visiting teacher, are held regularly once a month. Every evening Kido takes place from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Members and visitors are welcome to attend any of the practice sessions at the centre. Please contact the Abbot one day in advance if you wish to attend morning practice, or to attend a retreat.
Our guiding teacher is Zen Master Bon Yo, who lives at the Paris Zen Centre. She received transmission from Zen Master Dae Kwang in Paris on 9th April 2005, the 80th generation in her line of Zen transmission.
Coming Retreats
July 11 to 13 2008, Zen Master Bon Shim will lead a YMJJ at the London Zen Centre.
In September Mu Shim Sunim JDPS will visit London ZC and lead a retreat and in November a Dharma Master from Germany will lead a retreat.

Directions: Take the Victoria or Piccadilly line to Finsbury Park, then walk up Stroud Green Road (15 minutes) or take the W7 bus to the lower end of Crouch Hill. The Zen Centre is on the left hand side of Crouch Hill, occupying the top two floors of a four-storey terraced town-house.
Residence
The London Zen Centre accommodates one or two Resident Zen Students living in the centre for periods from one day to several months. Resident Zen Students commit to joining morning practice and monthly weekend retreats while living in the centre, and receive basic accommodation for very reasonable payments.The London Zen Centre currently has space available for two Resident Zen Students.
